A Day in the Life: Ana, Intern

What is your title? I am an intern for Forum Communications

What does that mean? As an intern, I do any extra projects the team needs for me to do. I am mostly here to learn as much as possible.

What’s your favorite thing about the Forum culture? Forum is a team – that’s my favorite thing about it. Everyone works together and helps each other. Ideas are shared and respected with a positive attitude.

What do you like best about your job? I love that I’m able to work at my own pace, especially with my crazy summer schedule. I can literally work on a project whenever I want. Whether it is late at night or early in the morning, you never know when a creative bug will bite, so it is great that at any time I can grab my computer and get to work.

What social media platform do you use most often? Instagram. As a millennial, Instagram is life – as crazy as that sounds – whether for personal use or for work. For work, I always have to constantly be posting on Instagram about new products and to create better customer relations.

What motto do you live by? I try to take advantage of as many opportunities as I can. I definitely don’t want to miss a chance that can help me develop as a person.

What time do you get up? 7:30 – sometimes I get lucky and have enough energy to wake up before then. That is rare, but when it happens, I know it’s going to be a good day!

How many times do you snooze? A lot. Mornings are rough.

How do you take your coffee? I don’t take coffee. Tea is the way to go for me.

When you aren’t working what are you doing? Ummm…I work a lot. With my regular job during the day, I usually work on Form projects after work or on the weekends. It is rare for me to “not be working,” which is great because that is what I am focusing on this summer. When I do get some free time, I love visiting new places. There are always new places to discover, even in a small town like Gainesville.

Describe yourself in one word. Goal-focused
